Workshop di recitazione e interpretazione avanzata: Pirandello, 150 anni di teatro
Il workshop è un corso intensivo di perfezionamento teatrale e linguistico, della durata di tre settimane, in cui 15 – 20 allievi selezionati lavoreranno a stretto contatto con professionisti della scena e della letteratura italiana, affinando le loro capacità nell’ambito della lingua e della cultura, della recitazione, del movimento, dell’improvvisazione, dell’analisi e dell’interpretazione del testo teatrale.
Nel 2017, in occasione del 150° anniversario di Luigi Pirandello, all’attività formativa del workshop si accompagnerà la preparazione e la messa in scena della commedia pirandelliana “Questa sera si recita a soggetto” (1929) presso il prestigioso teatro della Casa d’Italia di Montréal, nel cuore della Piccola Italia.
Destinatari
Il workshop offre un Programma di interpretazione e un Programma di lingua e cultura, e si rivolge a:
- studenti di recitazione, canto , danza e attori, cantanti, danzatori professionisti
- chi vuole approfondire la lingua e la cultura italiana senza necessariamente avere esperienza di palcoscenico


Durata e sede di svolgimento
La scuola e il workshop saranno ospitati dall’Istituto Italiano di Cultura, situato nel centro di Montréal (1200, avenue Dr. Penfield – Montréal, Québec, H3A 1A9).
L’attività formativa avrà luogo dal 5 al 21 giugno 2017 dalle 9:30 alle 17:30, mentre la messa in scena finale avrà luogo giovedì 22 giugno.
Chi è Luigi Pirandello?
Luigi Pirandello è uno scrittore e drammaturgo italiano,
insignito del premio Nobel per la letteratura nel 1934.
Per la profondità di analisi psicologica dei personaggi
e per l’originalità del racconto teatrale, è considerato
uno dei maggiori drammaturghi del ‘900.
Admissions
Types of admission
There are several types of admission to our courses and workshops:
1) Rossini Lab – Performance Program (15 positions)
From May 7 to June 1, 2018.
More than 152 hours of intensive workshops in acting, and Italian language and culture at a minimum price, thanks to the contribution of the Italian Institute of Culture – Montreal.
Dedicated to those who already have some experience or have embarked on a career in the world of Opera.
To enter this program, applicants must submit their application by April 29, 2018.
2) Italian Lab (10 positions)
From May 7 to May 25, 2018.
45 hours of Italian language and Italian diction.
For those who have a passion for Italian language and culture but have little or no experience in the field of performance arts.
Participants in the Language and culture program are not required to pass any selection, and have access to all the morning language classes (Italian language and Italian diction) at a competitive price. Students enrolled in this curriculum can also choose to take a specific selection of courses and / or workshops at the standard price of the Italian Institute of Culture.

3) Commedia dell’Arte Lab (10 positions)
May 26 – 27, 2018.
12 hours of Commedia dell’Arte and masks workshop
This package is dedicated to those who want to participate in the Commedia dell’Arte workshops only, held by Chiara Cimmino e Valerio Vittorio Garaffa.
Participants in the Commedia dell’Arte Lab are not required to pass any selection, and have full access to the Commedia dell’Arte workshop at a competitive price. Students enrolled in this curriculum can also choose to take a specific selection of courses and / or workshops at the standard price of the Italian Institute of Culture.

4) Lirica Lab I (10 positions) – Annamaria Popescu (McGill University)
May 11 to 18, 2018.
8 hours of Bel Canto.
For those who want to participate in all the Bel Canto workshops taught by Annamaria Popescu.
Participants in the Lirica Lab I are not required to pass any selection and have access to all the workshops related to Lirica Lab I at a competitive price. Students enrolled in this curriculum can also choose to take a specific selection of courses and / or workshops at the standard price of the Italian Institute of Culture.
