L\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019ouvrir une \u00e9cole de haute formation na\u00eet \u00e0 la suite d\u2019une collaboration entre l\u2019Institut Culturel Italien, l\u2019Universit\u00e9 McGill et la compagnie de th\u00e9\u00e2tre \u00ab\u00a0Teatro del Dis\u00eco\u00a0\u00bb qui, en 2006, \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, avait lanc\u00e9 une s\u00e9rie d\u2019ateliers d\u00e9di\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tude des masques et \u00e0 la Commedia dell\u2019Arte.<\/p>\n
L\u2019\u00c9cole ambitionne\u00a0le d\u00e9veloppement artistique des \u00e9l\u00e8ves sur le plan professionnel (pour ce qui concerne l\u2019apprentissage du m\u00e9tier de l\u2019acteur) ainsi que sur le plan linguistique (l\u2019apprentissage de la langue italienne), \u00e0 travers l\u2019\u00e9tude des techniques th\u00e9\u00e2trales, des textes et des auteurs italiens, dans le contexte culturel et linguistique vivace de Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n
